1.Calling a fighter that has fought most of the best in his division time and time again a "waste of space" is plain dumb and ignorant. 2. A dehydrated Cotto breaks Paulies jaw and they had more cause to stop the Cotto fight and they did the Hatton fight. Now, if it wasn't for what happened in the beating he took against Cotto and his corner knowing that PM has heart and wouldn't stop I don't think they would have stopped the Hatton fight. 3. I think you've already been corrected about "quitting on his stool" part which shows that you probably didn't even watch the fight. The loaded gloves thing is something that will tarnish that fight because people can't certainly be 100% positive if the gloves where loaded or not. 4. He was fighting Clottey with impared vision and still won the fight. I think it would have been a more decisive victory barring the cut. I know you are just a troll but you still need your education. Welcome to class.
i dont agree hes a joke but i thought he lost the clottey fight decisively and think his fans on here severely overrate him
Cotto is a pure-bred warrior. he puts it all on the line in his fights and, the one time he lost, it was to a guy that may have been cheating. And he was still fighting going into the 11th, ffs. He had a hellacious cut for 9 rounds of fighting and still managed to outbox the other guy. Mark this - when Cotto retires, he's a lock for the hall of fame. The guy's what all boxers should aspire to: brave, exciting and willing to fight the best.
Some people believed that Clottey won but most including the judges saw Cotto as the winner. Clottey lost get over it.
atsch it was a close fight w/c could have gone either way...I scored the fight 114-113 for clottey but i dont have a problem cotto getting the nod...
what did clottey do to overwhelmingly win that fight? he had cotto cut and shoulda won at least 5 out of the last 6 rounds convincingly. but he didnt
sorry but cotto to me only won 4 rounds based on the criteria you use to score boxing matches. You know that same criteria thats been around for donkeys years and doesnt take into account heart and guts which some people seem to be using as justification for giving cotto rounds. If you know boxing the only rounds you can truely say cotto won were 1 6 11 and 12 and even 11 was a push for me to give to him.
landed more punches controlled ring centre, had cotto retreating, landed crisper punches, had better defense do you want the laundry list or shall i leave it at that?
I didn't realize taken a knee in the corner was now tantamount to quitting on your stool? Some may deem the two the same, I guess? Kinda harsh considering the beating he was taking, dontcha think? The guy was doin' all he could. And I thought he looked pretty good against Clottey, actually.
so you have 114-113 for clottey then....how could that be 'lost decisively'??? Thats pretty close for me...atsch dumb****!!!:smoke
