Why are you even trying to compare Cotto with Mayweather? Mayweather is either 1 or 2 on everyone's p4p list. Cotto is not on anyone's list. Mayweather is an ATG and a first ballot HOFer. Cotto has yet to win a non vacant title and won't sniff the HOF. Mayweather just fought in one of the biggest non HW ppv's of all time and made upwards of $40 million. Cotto is about to get his ass kicked by a guy with 8 KO's on WCB and will make a fraction of what MOSLEY made. Mayweather is 33, is still going strong, and looks like he was never even touched after his fights. Cotto is 29, is on a steep decline, and looks like he got into a train wreck after his fights. Mayweather will be able to speak clearly to his kids and grandkids about his career. Cotto will probably be slurring his words within the next few years.

These guys are not comparable. They're not in the same tax bracket, don't shoot at the same baskets. Cotto is a courageous fighter, but he would trade places with Mayweather in a heartbeat. Trying to down Mayweather in order to pump up Cotto is is an excercise in futility. At the end of the day, Uncle Bob did whatever he could to keep Cotto away from Mayweather. Regardless, Mayweather's career has continued to trend upwards, while Cotto's stock has fallen big time.

This **** happens.....Fans or "Fanatics" of their favorite fighters often times have unrealistic views about who they like. Manny, Cotto, Floyd..the Klits....You see some of the bull**** posted about boxers and while some are on point, much of what they think or feel is crazy. For the most part people see Cotto for what he is. A terrific fighter, limited in some areas but able to win on an Elite level.....sometimes.

At the end of the day Cotto has a great career with a very good resume. I think he's done it all in the sport. Not everyone can have a career like Manny or Leonard.

The new standards are still....inadequate. Conte said the loopholes with USADA and WADA's testing measures are big enough to drive a big rig through it. Now....it's better to have stricter testing but if Shane was doping for Marg...he was doping for Floyd and there is really no way to know.

For that matter Floyd could be doping as well......No one is going to know for sure.

Find me the quote where Conte said this. I know he said this about the current system, but I never knew he said it about WADA. I doubt Mayweather is doping considering he's the one paying 20K+ to go through WADA style testing. It's not like he's turning down tens of millions to avoid the testing.

williams is good but too inconsistent. got his ass outboxed by quintana the first time and struggled with cintron until the incident. i would say, he beat all the top fighters in his good night and will lose to contenders on his bad day when he sport one of those mohawks.

 

Williams' kyrptonite is counterpunchers. He leaves himself open all the time, and is a sucker for a good counterpunch. Any other type of fighter is in for a long night against Williams.
