ellerbe downplayed this and said cotto is not a draw. floyd just beat hatton while cotto just beat mosley. the biggest fight in welter in years. is it a coincidence that floyd has not figured out in a very much anticipated welter fight in both instance with cotto then and pac now? mosley is a good opponent, but it is the fight with the younger pac that is now anticipated.

Margarito did fight Paul, and did ask for a rematch Paul declined and wanted nothing to do with a rematch until Margarito got a big win over Cotto and was a unified champion, sorry but too little too late I agree with Tony, but the point is, Tony had the balls to fight him, Floyd has not shown that yet...

Seriously man... All four fights you mentioned, Cotto-Shane and Cotto-Clottey, and Paul-Sergio and Paul-Cintron could go either way.


But one thing that can't go either way is Arum's reluctance to put Cotto in the ring with a pressure fighter who will send him to the dirt worse than Foreman-Frazier.

To me Cotto would've done a lot better if he wouldn't be so cheap and hire a well known trainer from the get go, just like the rest of pr fighters, they always come up short because lack of good trainers.

i don't care if you are not that much a fan of floyd. my point is, why bash cotto and pac when these two fighter have both fought much tougher welterweigt opponents recently than anyone else?
