you don't have to fight at 147 exactly to be WW. why would it not be on the line 141-147 is a welter. how ignorant are you? :patsch

These complications are ridiculous. Pavlik/Taylor II was at a catchweight and titles weren't on the line for that one.

cause Pavlik held the MW titles, while the fight was above 160. If one of them had a SMW title at the time, it would have been on the line.

Manny was paid a nice agreemnet fee to agree on the 145 by Arum....
according to El Neuvo Dia....from what I have read I'm under the impression that Cotto's belt is on the table....thats why he is fighting
Cotto right ? for the WW tiltle.

He is still going to get starched by Cotto....can't wait !!!!!!!

    Thank you.

Both men fight at the weight, the belt should change hands. They don't, it shouldn't.

You guys are missing the point. If Cotto is defending his belt then he just be able to come in at 147, but since the fight is at a catchweight then Cotto should have the option to not defend his tittle.

The article that I read and posted the link to in the OP says that the belt is not on the line.

maybe it was in the contract....but i think it should, 145 is still within the welterweight limit....if it was above then i would say there should be no titles, but it's within

Do you wanna say everybody who challenges for a title should weight EXCTLY 147 lb ... which excludes everybody who slips down a pound or two :patsch:patsch:patsch:patsch

not to mention Cotto's official weight was 146lb when he won the title ...
shouldn't he be stripped from the title if he fight PAC at 145 lb :rofl:rofl:rofl
