    Floyd's body attack > both.

He did.....but left his face open. :yep

Now that I think about it PBF's bodywork is underrated and Cotto's right hand is underrated, ironic when you think about it since they are best known for possessing the others weakness or or inability.

Please explain, while both men differ in their body attack who's to say which is more effective. Cotto has stopped more opposition with his but this does not mean his body attack is better. Technically I see both men executing text book blows only Cotto commits more since its his nature to do so while PBF tends to shorten his focus do to his defensive priorities. Different does not mean better.

Ask pro baseball players if they'd rather take a fastball from Tom Glavine or Billy Wagner. Next, ask them who's the better pitcher. I'm not saying Floyd is neccesarily the better body puncher, but harder doesn't always mean better.

I believe I already mentioned both are technically sound at body punching that's just one example why Cotto is a slight favorite in this vote in my opinion. Both have good mechanics yet one makes a greater impact thus causing more damage, both punchers are accurate though one hits harder and more often towards the midsection. PBF's the man don't worry about that but there are other fighters who can possibly be better than him in certain catagories....hard to believe but its a possibility :p

Both have amazing body attacks. Hattons is more proven on paper because he has stopped the likes of Castillo via a hook.

Hatton has some moves that Cotto doesn't. He is so agile that he'll step around you or go to your body while leaping in. However he is so ****ing inconsistent. I've RARELY seen Cotto neglect the body.

As good as Hatton is at going to the body he simply doesn't use one of his best tools as much as he could. For consistency, I'd have to edge Cotto. You KNOW Cotto is always investing something downstairs.

Hatton sometimes goes to the body with mean intent none stop ala Castillo. He'll sometimes start amazing then finish weak ala Collazo or sometimes he'll just put a few shots downstairs which don't mean nothing in terms of scoring or investment.

My preference at the moment is Cotto because he is consistent but also throws his shots that little bit more technically correct.

Ok, I will explain this again….

SSM: Took the body attack from Cotto by simply by holding..every single time Cotto was moving on the inside SSM grabbed him and didn’t let go until the ref tapped them on the shoulder, if you really watch the fight you can’t miss …it happened over and over again…Cotto was expecting this tactic, therefore the jab, and left hook combo which was most effective as he cut the distance until SSM grab….

PBF: Is an excellent all around boxer, with excellent body punches, accurate…he get good leverage but not to the level of Cotto…he doesn’t have to he is extremely skills on other areas that he doesn’t need to be sharp on the body punches…

Hatton: Is an incredible body puncher, high volume..as I mentioned over an over, he is not accurate but the overwhelming volume….his leverage is not nearly Cotto’s since his balance and footwork is not as good as Cotto….

Mosley took Cotto's body attack from him? What the **** fight were you morons watching honestly? You don't need to break ribs and make an opponent roll on the floor in pain to have an effective body attack. Why don't we ask Sugar Shane Mosley himself if he took away Cotto's body attack and he will tell you something else. Trust me Mosley felt Cotto's attack to the body, you ****ers have never been in the ring and have no idea what its like to get remotely tapped to the body, To say that Cotto's body attack was taken away is nonsense. He couldn't use it as much, but the fact that Mosley was worried about Cotto's body attack leaved Mosley open against other attacks in Cotto's game which in their fight was THE JAB. Some of you noobs need to learn just a little bit more about boxing before running your mouth about what really happened.

You guys remember the interview when SSM said taht Cotto was the man, and he is extrmelly strong....I am sure that needed to do with Cotto power, specially the body..let's not forget the "John Ruiz" approach that SSM took for this fight...

this thread is an example of why I use to dislike Floyd because of his die-hard fans..some of them aren't objective enough to realize that there are boxers better at certain things than he is.

    Annoying as ****

No this post had to deal with Orishman trying to get people to fuel his flame for why Cotto will beat Floyd.

But it got pointed out before it got out of hand.
