cotto's chin

    even though he was rocked a couple times and was eventually put down, i have to say i was very impressed with his chin given that his been rocked with single punches in early rounds before. example: judah. was anyone else as impressed?

    His chin was very good, if it wasn't he would've been knocked out early.

    No, because Cotto wasn't caught flush except for a few times only, and those were the times that he was hurt. Cotto's defense and movement were very good in this fight. Margarito had a very hard time landing cleanly. I wasn't at all impressed with Cotto's chin. It's one of the things that failed him and helped cost him the fight.

    His chin is pretty average but his heart in unquestionable.

    he was caught pretty damn flush with quite a few uppercuts and stood up to them well.

    Nah, Cotto was not caught flush with very many shots whatsoever, at all. Margarito wasn't getting any extension on any of his punches either. Cotto did a great job of smothering the force of Margarito's blows with his defense and instinctive movements. When Margarito did land anything it had none of it's usual power. It's extremely important that Margarito get extension, it's the source of his power. Cotto eliminated that almost completely.

    his chin is average..

    a lot of those uppercuts, werent thrown with full force, but yet seemed to hurt cotto..

    and most of margo´s power punches, went to the body..

    Cotto is chinny...And I think we saw that early in his career...He has been hurt in every semi-big to big fight he has had...The difference is he was fighting guys like Corley, Headcase Judah and Shane ONE SHOT Mosley. As I said before the fight if he got hurt vs Margo it was over, he would finish the fight. I knew that Margo wouldnt let up like Judah and Corley, and throw one shot at a time and let him off the hook like Shane.

    I wish I had an e-nickel for every time those guys let Cotto of the hook combined. I'd be an e-wealthy man.

    i was impressed, he got hit a couple of times and took them well. even when he got hit and went wobbly he fought back, which i thought was impressive.
