Ok most people here believe that Cotto needs a better head trainer. Someone who is a trainer first, friend second.

But do you think Cotto will see the light and try to get someone more experienced? Or stick with Santiago?

His corner gave him no technical advice. He needs to change it. Also, maybe they should have stopped it earlier.

I agree he needs a new head trainer. Makes me wonder if some of the problems he had with his uncle was because he used to get on him about what he wanted him to do instead of having someone there who just said Yes & OK.

Do people value the advice in a corner all that much? I'm not convinced in the heat of battle, the fighter does all that much listening unless you're doing some crazy **** like Teddy Atlas. Cotto would have lost with Eddie Futch in his corner, they are glorified cheerleaders.

He needs a new trainer. Someone that is not a "yes" man. A very experienced trainer who's not afraid to tell him what his faults are. Nacho, Nazim, hell even Stewart.
