Cottos facial damage vs Margarito and Pac.

Like what the HBO commentators said: "Manny has naturally loaded gloves." If you're from the UK, I'm sure you missed that. I do like your commentators better though (Ian & ?).

 

No one had made as many clean hard connects on Cotto till Margarito got a hold of him........

.......unless its found that Pacquiao was loading his gloves, we can now see that Cotto's face just does'nt hold up well to being punched in the face.....

......If we look at DLH's face after Pacquiao, he got hit just as much as Cotto did.....and though his face was marked, it was'nt nearly to how marked and disfigured that Cotto's face was.

Some fighters cut and bruise more than others, so at the very least this notion of pointing to Cotto's bruised face as evidence that Margarito loaded his gloves has got to stop.

Cottos face was more bizarre looking after Margo. If his face had looked like it did last night against Mago, it wouldn't have been cause for concern. It should also be noted that pac beat up on Cotto POST Margo.

 

Yes. But that picture they flashed on HBO after Margarito-Cotto fight won't help his case.

 

Agreed. Margarito made Cotto look like a puffed out version of Cotto. Pacquiao made him look like a whole different person.

 

It's not even comparable, Cotto's face was not as damaged as with Margarito.. Ck 'em again!!

 

I"m glad you brought that up, and I'm wondering if anyone that has access to that picture can post it in this thread......the HBO commentators conveniently made speculation of why there was a reddish spot in the pinky knuckle area.....they said it was unusual for the wraps to be stained.......
.....if you look at the picture, the HBO analysts completely ignored that the same color stains were all over Margarito's wraps from the wrist down.....

.....Were Margarito's wraps around his wrists loaded also?


Listen, that could either be blood of his own or Cotto's........remember that Margarito went over to shake and give Cotto a hug.....Cotto was bleeding, and tha blood from Cotto could have stained those wraps during there contact with eachother.

The fact that there is a red stain on your wraps is poor evidence that they were loaded.

You guys know boxing right? Well you should understand that the boxers that don't have good defense get hurt like that. It always amused me how people would say, "look at cottos face, marg surely used loaded gloves." He might have, but the fact is boxers get hurt, and at times even lose their lifes in the ring. Think about Cotto vs Paulie, Abraham Vs Miranda, Vasquez vs Marquez, those are examples of recent times when fighters got injured. You get hit clean often, you get hurt.
