I've been bringing up this point for so long? The whole facial damage thing is irrelevant. Zab must have had loaded gloves too because he busted Cotto's face up good as well. Cotto's face shows the effects of punches when he is hit alot. Some fighters mark/swell/cut up easier than others. Margo landed numerous uppercuts right into Cotto's face. That's not loaded gloves that's numerous flush connects by the gloved fist of a world class boxer.

If we want to go by that thinking then:

James Toney's gloves were loaded against Iran Barkley

Julio Cesar Chavez's gloves were loaded against Meldrick Taylor

Bernard Hopkins' gloves were loaded against William Joppy

Max Schmeling's gloves were loaded in his first fight with Joe Louis

Joe Calzaghe's gloves were loaded against Jeff Lacy

Shane Mosley's right glove was loaded against Fernando Vargas in their first fight

See my point? That alone is a weak argument to support the theory that Margo's gloves were loaded against Cotto. It's simply a case of elite pro boxers landing numerous flush connects to the faces of guys who tend to swell when hit.

Cotto was worse after the Margarito fight. He was bleeding from his ears and everywhere else possible.

He was expected to get swollen pretty easy after the Pac fight, it's his 3rd fight in 10 months and he still had a cut that wasn't healed.
