what proof do you have of this. you sound ******ed :rofl :admin how can a guy like floyd who has fought 70% of his fights at 130 be bigger then a fighter who has fought 95% of his fights at 140. that is a ten lb weight difference. are you trying to imply that floyd was rehydrating 10-15lbs at 130. we all know ricky rehydrates to 155 for his 140 fights.
bigtime9, if you aren't anxious to see Floyd fight Cotto, then you aren't a true Floyd or Cotto fan. In fact, it contradicts alot of what you say. The urgency is not in fear of Cotto's record, etc, but for fear that Floyd Mayweather may ACTUALLY retire without facing a MODERN DAY, top echelon TRUE welterweight. He keeps spurting rumours of retirement, etc, so it's not like he's getting younger. THUS the sense of urgency. Also, it is a great fight/match up? It, quite honestly, settles the doubt and establishes his crown immediately. If you, even for a minute, tell me you would rather see ODLH fight Mayweather AGAIN then a Mayweather/Cotto fight.... my point is made and you should never, EVER post again. And for safety, neither should your future children, and your children's children...etc.
Dethroned? PacD never had anything on him to begin with. Even thought Bigtime is a bit past his prime, he still has enough left in the tank to stop PacD head to head, P4P, as the biggest nuthugger on this site.
Exactly...the whole point of being a fan fighters is to see them step up and test themselves with threats where they may lose, but they take the risk anyway. If they lose, at least they took a chance, and if they win, they achieve that greatness. Why would you be a fan of someone who cherry picks, unless you do the same thing in your life. Are you the kind of person that lives off someone else or do you seek new challenges and experiences to prove your greatness! That's what boxing is all about.
Indeed. Personally, I like both Mayweather and Cotto. A lot of other posters do as well (Pimp C, kg, brooklyn, etc.) So accusing those who like Cotto of being automatically biased against PBF holds no merit at all.
I have no problem with floyd facing oscar and ricky in rematches...that's my boy he deserves to get paid for all the hard years he labored in obscurity.the cotto fight can wait until late 2009:deal :admin :admin :admin
Tony Pep, Corrales, Carlos Gerena, Victoriano Sosa, Castillo, and N'Dou were all clearly bigger than him. DLH is much bigger than Floyd. He had a 4 lb. weight advantage at the weight in alone. Everyone says he gassed out, but his punch output stayed consistent throughout the whole fight. He threw the most punches in the last round. And DLH did not start out at 130. Mosley is not bigger than Hoya, it's debateable whether he's better. He's also a couple of years older and certainly not closer to his prime. Gomez is going to get beatdown and stopped. Margo has a legitimate chance against Cotto(I would favor Cotto). He has virtually no shot against Floyd. The last part of this statement is yet to be determined.
I think the fight is good for boxing. I like both fighters as much as I like anyone else outside of Jones Jr. If Cotto was saying the same things as Mayweather was and Mayweather was saying what Cotto has been saying, most of us would be calling Cotto on it. Plain and simple.
the difference between you and I on this subject is your irrational hatred of floyd. you claim he has never taken a risk. go back and look at his career then get back to me about who takes risks and who doesn't:deal
