Afraid?? NO. In fact it might be a good think. If he gets his ass knocked out may be Floyd will decide to fight him. Again is not about Cotto winning that fight. Is about Cotto getting the money he deserves instead of giving it to fighter who don't deserve it so Floyd can look good. You are right. Floyd started at 130lbs. He was also 19y/o. It doesn't look like e has any fat on his body at 147lbs. But how can you criticized Cotto for doing things Floyd has been doing for a long time. Yes, Cotto is fighting a bigger fighter. Also a young hungry fighter. Who's not there just to make money like DLH was. That only speaks tons about Cotto. Its way more than Floyd is doing. OH NO!!! I FORGOT!! Floyd fights big and dangerous guys. He fought BIG SHOW
I just answered that question, floyd deserves the big paydays now. cotto can wait he is not an important piece of the puzzle yet. cotto has to get by the cintron/margarito winner and grab the IBF belt for me to start taking a cotto vs floyd fight seriously. I only wan to see floyd vs cotto under these conditions: 1. both fighters are undefeated 2. all the major titles are on the line (no WBO) if this happens then I am all in, otherwise I am not exicted about and am looking forward to the hatton and oscar rematches:deal
Take this not only from a boxing fan but a healthcare professional. Floyd muscle mass is way bigger than Hatton's. My kid can see that. You better open your eyes before you call people ******ed. You are starting to sound like you are like 18y/o
And you take De La Hoya seriously who has lost 3 of his last 5 fights? Or Hatton seriously (even though he was just KO'd and arguably lost to Luis Collazo)? The bottom line is that Miguel Cotto has done more than anybody else Floyd has fought as of late. He's beaten Quintana, Urkal, Judah, and Mosley. How is he not in the puzzle at welterweight? That's absurd. The thing I take from your response: you care more about Floyd's checkbook than seeing him fight the best fighters. You're not a true boxing fan.
As a matter of Fact. Oscar De la Hoya first belt was at 130lbs. Come on!! DO your homework before posting!!!!!!!!1
I am not impressed that list of fighters you just named. none of them besides quintana has accomplished much at 147. the reality is that cotto is on the right path he just needs to keep winning and make the fight bigger. I am looking forward to going to london next year to cheer floyd on in one of the biggest european fights ever. 100,000 screaming fans at wembley is what I am thinking about. and floyd is smart so he is thinking about that to:deal
What's amazing is that the terms laid out for this particular poster to "accept" or "get up for" a Cotto-PBF match are backwards. He thinks Mayweather deserves big money matches only. Ok, but Hatton-PBF II may not sell as well as the first one considering the outcome of the first fight. 1)I was happy about the first match, but it was a decisive victory where Hatton could do nothing and the outcome of the 2nd fight is already known given that Hatton has looked bad at 147 two times now. Cotto sold 400K plus in his last PPV. Mayweather may make more money fighting him at this point. 2) Hatton brings no belts to the ring that Mayweather can win, and Cotto brings at least one right now from the same weight class. So why would Cotto need to unify to fight Mayweather for him to be excited but Hatton bring no titles and he is ready for it? 3) And lastly, why would Cotto need to be unbeaten, but Hatton doesn't?
oscar had 2 fights at 130 dip ****, now go do your homework. and to answer you muscle mass question, what is ricky's muscle density. please provide proof:deal not conjecture laced with lies:admin :admin
hatton just sold 50,000 tickets to fight lazcano. the only way the wembley fight falls through is if hatton loses in his next two fights. if that happens and cotto is still undefeated then floyd will have cotto as a second option. you are being disingenious hatton vs floyd 2 will outsell floyd vs cotto right now. hatton has all of britain supporting him cotto has puerto rico. and fights are fought in the ring anything can happen. so you don't know the outcome of the rematch you just assume what will happen cotto has ricky's old belt he vacated, why would fght cotto for that. how would cotto's wba belt help floyd. no you assume floyd is some spring chicken he is nearing 32 and should seriosuly be thinking about retirin not collecting belts from threee different fighters. cotto will get the IBF belt if he is capable then we will have undefeated and undisputed all rolled into one. now isn' that just grand:deal hatton vs floyd I was called what again:deal
This people just never lose. They come saying DLH was never a 130lbs. I showed them wrong. Now somebody else come saying it was just a couple of fights. I guess there is not wost blindness than the guy who don't want to see.
you are too dumb for stupid. you are comparing oscar's 130 career with floyds. oscar had 2 fights at 130 how many did floyd have at 130..don't worry I'll wait. how many fights did hatton have at 140:deal :admin
1) What Hatton sold at the gate in England has little to do with PPV sales against a fighter who beat him up then KO'd him. 2) You clearly don't know what disingenious means or otherwise you are chastising me for assuming the outcome of a fight then assuming yourself that you know my emotions on a fight. We know Mayweather will beat Hatton. And even if we don't, we know he is more than capable of it, a factor that is UNKNOWN with Cotto making it more intriguing. 3) Hatton has no belt, which is worse than a vacated belt which has been defended against 2 Top 10 WW and former world champions. Unification is a good reason, and if you're answer is that "Mayweather is already the true champion" then fine, but it still doesn't give a reason for Mayweather to fight Hatton over Cotto. Cotto is ranked P4P higher and has a title, vacated or not. Hatton has none of these things. 4) Hatton vs Floyd I was called undefeated. One of them lost that bout. Thanks for bringing that up. So that would make Hatton.....NOT undefeated like I said. And if you are so fond of that title, then what's the problem with fighting Undefeated Cotto? So really, the only reason you have is MONEY, or you perception that more money will be made. You are assuming this is the case and feel justified, but feel others are not justified for not wanting to see the rematch because we ASSUME Hatton will lose. Contradiction.
