Cotto's improved his boxing skill ever since the Shane Mosley fight, he has since started to use his jab. In the Gomez fight he stumbled Alfonso with a jab !
Miguel Cotto is without a doubt the best body puncher in Boxing today.

Cotto's left hook to the body is the #1 trade-mark punch in boxing today IMO, he's so effective and so damaging with that, truly a superb punch.

Abraham's left hook/half uppercut is becoming a dominant punch as well. Look at how perfectly he places it on the chin, huge power isn't needed at all (the one landed on Miranda was a lot wider than usual - the short one would've done the Gevor headtwist, maybe a 360). That's the one he should look to land on Pavlik.

A few of my favourites - no order

    Lennox Lewis - jab
Oscar de la Hoya - jab/left hook
    Antonio Margarito - uppercut
Junior Witter - southpaw right hook in uppercut motion (very rarely used BTW see Harris fight)
    Miguel Cotto - left hook
    Kostya Tszyu - straight right
    David Haye - overhand right
    Zab Judah - left hook

Cotto's shovel hook to the body is one of my favourite punches in boxing today. But I'm a bit biased. I love watchin Cotto fight, and even more so, I love fighters that go to the body.I don't think there has been a comparable body puncher since Tunney, and before him Bob Fitzsimmons.

yeah i know its kind of annoying when people say this. In ways there were things that Cotto could do at 140lbs that impressed me even more then than what he does now. Just because his power was more effective down there early on and his speed was mroe sharp. He could land some of the most Beautiful 3 punch combinations going from the head to body or body to head! Like I said before, Cotto had showed great ring generalship early on in his boxing career. It was signs that he was going to develop into a real boxer instead of just a brainless slugger.

Juan Manuel Marquez left uppercut. I forget what fight it was maybe Rocky juarez fight, but anyway JMM threw a three punch combo to the head the torso and the body using just his left, a thing of beauty.
