I would not forget about Floyd Mayweather's technique, about Paul Williams' output and sleekness, about Shane Mosley's handspeed and power... But making us believe that one hardcore slugger, even though a refined boxer at the same time, will put up a boxing clinic against Tony is pointless... Nobody buys that... Cotto will try to overpower Margo and will go back to counter punching ( like in the Mosley fight) if he keeps on coming... Again, I have to see Miguel loading up on Margo without getting caught himself. My whole idea is that Cotto struggled with smaller men in Judah, Mosley and NDou and since this is far from becoming a pure boxing match, you know?...

Yeah, and Cotto's chin is very suspect too. I think if Margo lands he will ko Cotto. I don't think Cotto can ko Margo though...i hope its a good fight.

Hard to attack the body when your opponent tucks his elbows and brings those uppercuts with brute strength.

I'd frankly be surprised to see Cotto go toe to toe. He'll be dominated imo.

Cotto's left hook has a good chance of hurting Margo, Just like Margos left uppercut has a chance of rocking Cotto. I don't think Cotto is going to be able to firmly sit on his punches. He's going to have to be on his toes, moving side to side out boxing Margo to win. He give's Margo a chance to hurt him if he decides to in fight toe to toe.

I'm looking forward to see how Cotto handles Margs Left hook and Right hook to the body. I'm looking forward to see how Cotto's game plan changes after a few of those as well.

:D Don't go and bet on this predicion bro. If you do bet low. B/c if you choose to bet on your perception of Marg as it stands by reading your post you are set to loose money.

Marg will upset Cotto! By KO no less. I'm prbably alone but I have a very strong feeling about this one. Cotto will make it a good scrap but gets overwhelmed and discouraged after 7 rounds of his best offense only to still have to back peddle by the relentless Marg.

Then we'll see Marg vs Williams 2 :yep

IMO this one boils down to AM's chin. . . if its as good as I think it is he will walk Cotto down and force him into more of a "brawl". If this comes to fruition. . . LOOK OUT, its gonna be a barn-burner of epic proportions and AM has more than just a "chance".

Will Cotto load up to dig big punches in? Exposing his chin? Not really, especcially in the early going. Cotto will in all likelyhood tuck his chin in for a few rounds, 'Till he can guage how hard Margarito realy hits. Margarito on the other hand will gladly take one to give one.

Cotto will land the cleaner harder punches. Margaritos punches would have good impact but not land flush. But he wears guys down. Margarito just opens up and Cotto is too sharp for his gorilla style.

My Prediction = Cotto wins on cuts via systematic beat down.

It's a hard fight to predict. Margo is as tough as they come and has a size on his side. The problem with his size is that he doesn't use it to his advantage. Cotto has far better boxing skills and one of the best body attacks in the sport, but has not fought a WW as strong as Margo. My instinct says that Cotto will outpoint Margo and win a UD.

I cant wait for this fight it's gonna be a war,
and it's always tasty when Mexican's fight Puerto Rican's.
I dont know what it is maybe a battle of machismo but it all add's to the flavour of this fight.
I Like Cotto he's one of my favourite fighters but i dont recall him ever facing anyone with the power and strengh of Margarito so this is a huge test for Cotto. As for margarito can he stand Cotto's power he walked through Cintron for the second time and Kermit threw the kitchen sink at him.
This is what boxing need's a real fight that's not about ppv or any of that **** it's about proving who's the best at welterweight once and for all.

If Cotto stops Margarito, it will come via cuts. I can't believe that no one has mentioned the fact that Margarito was cut in the Cintron fight, and that cut may not have had sufficient time to heal. However, both these guys are going to hurt each other, and both are going to pay for it later on down the road. If Margarito doesn't get overconfident and cuts are not a factor, I pick Margarito via 11th round TKO.
