It was there plenty against Margarito in the rematch. It didn't show up as much against Floyd as his guard protects better against left hooks than practically any other punch. Since Cotto has moved up, he has to box more and curb his aggression. I expect we'll see plenty of left hooks against Trout.
Yeah, I think it's still there...but he's learned to box more and not grow dependent on it...vs Floyd, it was neutralized and so he seemed to make his jab and right hand work a little better...but Floyd was still too crafty for those as well...he landed some nice jabs though...a sturdy jab can sometimes offset Mayweather, but it's not guaranteed for victory
