Cotto's Most Dangerous Fight To Date? Seems to me he hasn't fought Margarito yet, and even when he does Margarito isn't as dangerous as Mosley.
OOh, I just made it even Could be made to look a bit of a fool here if Marg is on song, but I went with Mosley. I think Marg will get drawn into a scrap and that is where I see Cotto coming out on top over 12 rounds. If Marg stays on the outside and boxes then it could be tricky, but overall I'll have to go with Mosely and say that that fight was a tight affair and probably the most tricky - therefore dangerous. At 140 Cotto wasnt the same boxer so I'm dismissing those bouts (in response to the Torres shouts etc)
I honestly think its Margarito. With Judah and Mosley not only could KO Cotto but also box with him. Margarito will go into the fight looking for the KO because its the only way he can win. Looking for the KO might get Margarito knocked out in the process but it makes him more dangerous because he is going for the kill.
This is Cotto's most dangerous fight because Margarito represents all of those things that trouble a methodical, smaller puncher like Cotto. He's bigger, he's more durable, he's a decent puncher and he throws non-stop.
True indeed, I almost added Quintana but even Judah isn't getting many votes. Alot of people had Quintana over Cotto, true pick right there.
I thinkn this fight is 50/50 but I believe that there are some intangibles or X-factors that make me believe Cotto wins. Is it me or is it that of all the small trashtalk, Margarito has been saying little verbal jabs that will make the quiet champ in Cotto prepare more diligently for this fight? For example, Tony told Miguel that he should train harder and Miguel responded that he always trains hard for all his fights and that this will be no exception. I just think for all that we expect from Tony, Miguel hasn't showed us the best until this fight. Does anybody else see where I'm coming from?
To some extent I could see where you're coming from because Cotto's intangibles have carried him extremely far. On the other hand though I can't really think of another case in Cotto's history that would indicate that Margarito presenting himself this way will only make Cotto better. What are you basing that on?
