There was talk in El Nuevo Dia that Castillo may be his next fight, then it was played down that an annoncement woulld come out in a month or so after Cotto has rested.
He looks to be in good spirits !!!

If Gayweather prices himself out of the fight maybe theres an outside chance of a rematch later next year.

    What do you think ?

    You mean Jose Luis Castillo?

Cotto would break him down,El Temible is way to past his best even if Cotto might be damaged goods himself.

That's a good comeback fight and rematch is not as ridiculous as it seems. Cotto won some rounds and gave a good account of himself.

    Yeah, Jose....

I thought the same....I guess the idea is to find a live punching bag to take out the anger, then go after the title.

Cotto never quite recovered from the second KD....the punch he didn't see. However, I can see him staying with his gameplan and counter punch and Jab the hell out of Manny and wear out the body.

It would be a good fight. Cotto should win but I don't believe Castillo is TOTALLY shot.

I keep saying he could have beat him had he boxed more like he did in the first few rounds.
    round 1 he dominated
round 3 he dominated other than the KD he got too eager.
round 4 he was also dominating then went crazy and got caught. That punch really hurt him and he never came back.

I agree but what do we know we are known Cotto "nuthuggers" !:rofl

I really think that Miguel was not expecting manny to be that strong at the weight (I sure was not) and he could make some good adjustments and box more, but you know hindsight is 20/20.

I'd love to see a rematch, though I think its unlikely. I agree that he might fair better if he stays behind his jab and pounds away at the body, but most importantly, stay disciplined next time and don't get into those wild exchanges that Pac loves.

Agreed. Everybody looks at the end result but forget that Cotto was doing well until he got caught. He might not have won, but who knows? Anyway, you know what they say about "if"s............

Cotto gave a damned good account of himself. Nothing to be ashamed of at all, he just lost to the better man. Castillo is a very plausible comeback fight.

I like this fight. I hope Cotto learns from his loss and begins to fight more disciplined fights were he doesn't get hit so much.
