Even though Williams defense is rather leaky, his style (punch output) would too much for Cotto. I agree Berto might be the better fight but not Williams!:-(

he has a very leaky defense and with a precise counter puncher like cotto i dont think his output would be the same. his output was controlled by cintrons counters who is not quite as precise as cottos, imo!

I see your points...We can say the same for Cotto, he tends to let pressure get to him! He tends to back paddle if the opposing fighter is pushing forward...We can date back to the Pacman fight for this...The type of pressure Williams is going to give him will frustrate Cotto...Cotto will have to get on the inside of Williams 82" reach for him to be successful...That will not be no easy task. We all know that WIlliams can take a punch to get off about 3-4 punch combo.

Cotto should fight Berto if he's not gonna try to avenge the loss to Margo. I think he loses to Floyd, Pac @ 154, Pwill or Martinez. he should be able to beat Berto w/ his jab & left hook to the body.

Cotto should fight Cintron, Berto or Williams, and should stay away from Martinez

Bob Arum has already lost one belt to Sergio... He ain't chancing losing another.

    You better believe that ****.

My bad, I thought you said Martinez.... Scratch that... yeah it might be Cintron. I would go to that fight! Definitely!

 Williams has seen the canvas?

Once. And in the first round. Afterwards he took a gazillion bombs without ever flinching. Cotto doesn't have the speed, or power that Sergio has at 160. He has excellent timing, which will keep him in the fight, but you are sorely discounting the relentless pressure that Paul brings.

And if Cotto doesn't somehow get him out in 7, he loses the last 5 Rounds, as he fades a little too much against a guy who throws just as many punches in Round 12 as he does in Round 1. And this is best-case scenario for Cotto...

More likely, he catches a good overhand left or two in the opening Rounds, and the party begins... Williams makes it look eerily simlar to Quintana 2, except that Cotto is a lot better at covering himself and back-pedaling when in trouble. But the barrage continues until a real towel gets thrown in this time.

Cotto vs Williams or Margarito, Cotto wins these fights. Williams does not throw 100 punches around with an accurate Jabbing Body-Hunter like Cotto and Cotto breaks him down earning a decision. Williams is Beatable. Margarito gets thoroughly whipped in a rematch with a focused Cotto employing a similiar fight plan designed by Manny Steward that was used by Shane Mosley and Nasim Richardson.

Berto good choice. I think he beats Berto fairly easily. Timing offsets speed.

I'd like to see him rematch "Margo" first ! Nothing to do with the hand wrap issue....just get in there and fight this guy. After that i think 'Berto" would be good.

Put him with Cintron in PR. Would be pretty big.
