Ive been thinking about it and I believe that while everyone talks about the body attack, its the speed and quickness that has suprised a lot of recent Cotto opponents, and this may very well be the Key against Mosely.

He puts his punches together very well and has deceptive handspeed. Also, Cotto has a fantastic jab. Overall, he's just a very well rounded fighter.

noone doubts his offensive arsenal but eventually his pourous defence will catch up to him

Gotta agree with you there. Good attacking skills but weak defense and a so-so chin will get him into trouble one day.

The heaviest hands at 147lbs and a crushing body attack IS a defense.

Cotto's defense is pretty decent - if he would move his head more, he would be even better.

He's been caught and put in trouble a couple of times. Offense is not the best defense at all, and it certainly won't help his chin.

Cintron, I dont know. Your right he has some heavy ass hands.

I love Mosely, but Im sure Cotto is going to TKO him. Mosely paws too much with his jab these days to keep Cotto at bay. I think the way to beet Cotto is to move lateraly and Shane is too old to do this now.

Im really high on Cotto, I think he is vastly underated on this forum. I know he has holes in his game, but his approach toward fighting is one I like on physical and mental levels. Physicaly, he is a crushing preasure fighter and mentally he is patient and confident.

Floyd has also been caught and in trouble (although not to the extent that Cotto has). Anyone can get caught and eventualy they will. Cotto has responded to this point.

Also, Im not so convinced about his weak chin. I have seen him take some big shots. Some of the shots that have hurt him most are well placed shots, and those hurt you regardless of the quality of your chin.

SSM was king of quick in his prime. Both guy's have great assets and thats what makes this so close to call. Miguel's speed, power, converted southpaw ability, and consistent work rate are excellent.

It saddens to to hope Cotto wins this, but given the age and power difference, I see Cotto as the perfect candidate to knock out Floyd Mayweather Jr.

I've always been a Mosley fan and if he pulls it out? He still has a good chance now to pull a decision vs PBF. 5-7 years ago he would have TKO'd Floyd. Huge heart, chin, and will that is STILL in the top level of the game.

I love Mosely, he is a souther California fighter and I have allways respected him. But, Im finding myself partly rooting for Cotto, because he is the future. He is the guy who is going to give us great fights in the next few years, Hatton, PBF, you name it.
