Hatton arguably won every round against Maussa, but that's not to say it wasn't without struggle. He clearly had issues with Maussa and even Jim Watt mentioned during the fight that Cotto handled Maussa in much better fashion. While the commentators during Cotto-Maussa on the other hand were questioning if the fight should be stopped after the 5th round or not, since the fight was that much of a mismatch. Oh, and your last statement isn't true. When Cotto fought Maussa, Maussa had just upset Jeff Resto, who was an undefeated highly touted amateur star and prospect on ESPN2.
he does indeed have a great resume. But saying he was never knocked out is wrong. A technical knockout is a knockout. If Cotto doesn't quit against Margo, he is getting ktfo.
He has great record. If you look at his resume even further back, he has fought and beaten a lot of undefeated fighters. I do not understand why Pac's management pitted him against Cotto. This is a very very high risk fight. I wish they would just let Pac fight Valero as a tune up and wait for the winner ot PBF-JMM.
cotto has put the margo fight past him and many thought it would of been clottey's night. it was a very close fight if not for the knockdown, it might of gone either way. still, i consider him undefeated with all that controversy from the margarito fight. i rate his victories over shane and clottey higher than floyds over oscar and hatton
It was a hugfest in Hatton vs Maussa. Cotto didn't hold the way Hatton when Cotto easily beat up Maussa. Maussa was green when he fought Cotto? lol you like to find a way for your dumb excuse huh? Maussa was undefeated when he fought Cotto and Maussa before facing Cotto won a big upset over a prospect Resto. Cotto was bloody badly vs a bigger, stronger Margarito. I bet Hatton wouldn't last 6 rounds vs Margarito.
