Shane knows he lost that fight and even admitted so afterwards to De La Hoya.

Cotto's resume has several very good fighters, but to be honest, there's no one great he's defeated. Never was the recognized champion in any division. And that's not a knock on Cotto, as he's mos def one of my faves. But you gotta be honest.

All of this is true as well, but after defeating 12 titlists and giving a couple hall of famers tough fights, he's in without a doubt IMO. At pretty much all points he fought the toughest opponents who would face him, and came out on top against a whole lot of good fighters. Cotto in the hall raises the mean in the hall and doesn't lower it, and that should be enough on its own. And he did beat a very good version of Mosley.

Cotto beat so many good names. I get so sick of that argument that he didn't do enough to make the HOF. Get that **** out of here. He's going to go in. I hope people get mad about it too.

    Haters gonna hate.

I think he'll make it too. Just doing a little bit of devil's advocate objectivity here. Shane's arguably his best win, but been has been very inconsistently hot and cold since he lost to Forrest. But he was a warrior, and always looked to fight the best.

But in today's boxing world, there are just TOO many guys with titles in each weight class, kinda weakens the idea of beating that many titlists, as well as being a multi-division champ. Seems a lot of guys these days can become a three division titlist.

To be honest, what makes one a great in today's world of boxing? Being a multi-division champ when there's easily 5 belts to pick from? :think

And before you guys cry (not you Devon) about this, it's called looking at something objectively and not through rose tinted shades. We have to admit boxing just isn't the same sport it was just 15 years ago. It's 80% business, 20% sport.

....Son, do you really think Zab would EVER beat Cotto?

And, are you really trying to act like Zab is a clean fighter? Did you see the fight against Floyd?

Better yet... Explain the Kostya fight... Tell me how THAT KTFO victim beats a guy like Cotto ever? And please don't try and hype up an upper cut he landed in the Cotto fight...Shet was overrated as hell.

You mentioned you like Zab...So I bought this video son.
