so if it was proven that margarito used illegal wraps, you think he deserves to get beat down by bricks? Do you like judah then? Lot of irony in you're post and avatar

Nah, if you include the likes of Marquez and Hopkins in this generation then no, he isn't.

But no doubt, Cotto is a first ballot HOFer

Where were Cotto's balls when he was chasing around defenseless bums like Jennings? It was always the easy path for him for 3/4 of his career. Even Mosley was a fight where they thought they timed it perfect because of his age and wear and tear, they just got it wrong. No matter what Shane says the judges were overly kind in handing Cotto that win. People play right into the industry's hands when they vastly over rate "titlist" like Cotto. in the 50's everyone would view Cotto for what he is, a very good contender who came short in each title shot he has been given.

Shane lost clearly against Cotto, no debating.

Contrary to popular belief on this site I like Miguel Cotto.
His resume of top names opponents is what should matter Win/Lose.
    ^This is what makes him.

Not the belts, The 3 weight classes ect...
(Because peeps will always pick those belts apart)

    HOF absolutely.

Very good resume not great. I feel people pump him up after the heart he showed in losses to Mayweather, Tony and Pacquiao more than anything. He has plenty of solid wins, noting to special for me. People are just high on him, and have been for a few years, which leads to overating his resume. I think the same can be said with Mosley. I love Cotto though.

Hater, no one that had the balls like Cotto this generation fights everyone and is not scared of no one. Very fun to wach, Mosley lost that fight, The Clottey bout was a pick em. Everyone even Ali fought bums too so that exposes you as a hater and Jennings was rated number one by that organization and was a confidence build fight after that brutal loss to Margo. Look Marquez fighting bums to become a fourth division champ. Everyone does it sometimes.

i dont think a warrior, a belt holder, would ask to defend his belt at catchweight. dont think anyone has ever done what he has. unusual request that doesnt go along with being a "warrior".

    Cotto's good to great wins

    Mosley
    Margarito
    Judah
    Clottey
    Quintana
    Torres
    Malignaggi
    Bailey
Forman a lot of people was picking Cotto to lose.

    Solid wins
Maussa, undefeated prospect was coming of a win of hot prospect jefrey Resto, become champion later by koing Harris.

Abdullaev, Gold medalist, beat Cotto in the amateurs, His only loss was because He didn't understand English and could not get up on time was not seriously hurt by the punch.

Corley, Was still a capable conteder that had a close fight with Young prime Judah and manage to hurt Floyd and give him a challenge in that fight, was under 30 by that time.

Pinto undeafeted hyped prospect that was a amateur star. Beat cotto twice in the amateurs.

Urkal, Very difficult fighter that give heel to Kostya and Harris difficult style to look good against, very good chin and a Olympic bronze medalist.

N,dou Was in His prime coming from a controversial loss to the number two in that division in that time Mitchell, very hard strong fighter, become a champ latter. For me this is a very underrated win for a young Cotto.

    So So wins

Mayorga was a faded version but train His ass out and was in shape, coming to win not for the payday and in Mayorgas best weight, Was not completely shot.

Bazan was the first test for Cotto even that that version of Bazan was past his prime was not shot either, Coto completly beat him out.

Gomez, a few people pick him to beat Cotto saying Gomez is a granite chinned fighter that fought at middleweight and manage to beat some of them ios too big for Cotto. This was the best Cotto that we withness a totally prime Cotto that toyed with Gomez.

Still fighting could add a few solid wins more to add to His great resume. Hall of famer yess.

Go look at his resume and tell me 3/4 of his career was "easy".
