no homo with the thread title. In a documentary about Hearns it was explained that Emmanuel was the one responsible for engineering Hearns' monstrous right hand. As we all know Cotto is a lefty fighting out of the southpaw stance. He has a strong jab, devastating hooks, and great uppercuts. While Hearns had the chance to work with Steward early on, Cotto only has a few months with Steward before his next fight, and Cotto is a bit old can Steward give Cotto a right hand? Maybe not in the next fight but in the long run when they have moar time to work together?
Cotto has a pretty decent right hand. Reference Cotto vs Molsey. Its not his best punch, but he is a pretty well rounded fighter. Steward can improve it but he will never give Cotto a right hand that can rival the quality of his jab though. Either way I think an agressive style with jabs and hooks is the way for Cotto to beat Foreman
Can't make what you don't have... MC don't & will never have the mechanics to have a punch like Hearns. Tommy was special.
Steward is definitely signed up to help Foreman out for the Cotto figh. As I understand it....Team Cotto still hasn't made a choice but its supposidly between McGirt or Glen Johnson's trainer - Orlando Cuellar.
