wat cotto never had any dirty tactics you obviously know nothing about cotto and actually at 140 and 147 cotto was still destroying people except for margarito because of his iron chin. he was the best at 147 till the fight against margarito he has fought some of the beast and beat them don't forget that cotto out boxed the great and future hall of famer sugar shane mosley

maybe not down hill but certaintly different new trainer new weight bigger foes

I mean his body attack is nothing like it used to be which is sad cause he could break guys

I guess at 154 and maybe eventually at 160 he is too small or his foes are just too big for him to brawl the new style may not be what we like but it will help him survive

as far as Margarito goes I think Antonio wins 99 of 100 he is too big too good of a chin and Cotto just to me has no answer

I have to agree. Before Marg started putting a hurting on Cotto (whether or not he had plaster in his gloves), Cotto hit Margarito with everything but the kitchen sink and he was barely able to faze Marg. He took Cotto's best shots, smiled, and kept coming forward!

Thats why I cant see Cotto win he hit him with everything and was resorting to his bicycle in the second half when he had a guy who wasnt afraid of him or hurt and he didnt know how to react when he got a taste of his own medicine

Cotto started off as a boxer puncher and then started to brawl. If you look at all the fights he was hurt in you see a pattern of him totally unloading on his opponents and getting caught whith something big in exchanges. In order to prolong his career he needed to get back to boxing and being patient. The Margarito fight was simply a case of fighting the wrong fight (fighting to fast and giving to much movement).

cotto will beat marg he has improved enough and has cwhat he did not have against maRG that is patience. yeah cotto hit marg with everything but he did not attack the body as much all he did was hit margaritos bullet proof chin lastly when you hit while you move your punches are not as solid you have to sit on your punches for full effect but hey marg won no excuses i just know it will be different this time

Cotto never used dirty tactics? The dude fought as a bully and when he couldn't bully he began to not dominate. Did you see the Judah fight? The Clottey fight? The only thing that stopped him from being DQ'ed was being MC.

The "best" at 147? Please. FMJ was still active. He won one fight and was destroyed by Margo the next.

Nobody said he didn't have skills. I rated him B/B+/A-. How in the hell does that mean no skills?

If you are going to talk crap, quote me.

Didn't attack the body? How was he going to manage that? You do know that by going to the body you risk getting hit in the head?

Cotto had nothing for Margo fighting off of his back foot. Period. He hit what was safest to hit, his face. It wasn't enough. Margo fights out of a deep crouch. To get to his body Cotto would need to combine footwork, feints, and solitary power shots. That is NOT Cotto.

The only guys to ever stop Margo stopped him hitting him in his HEAD, head butting him, or out Boxing him. Cotto just doesn't have what it takes to beat a guy that much bigger than him. Especially one with a motor and a variety of shots.
