...yet, while Floyd still clearly beat him, he gave Floyd his toughest fight in years. If you remember, Cotto faded against Mosley, Margarito, Pacquaio, Margarito again, Mayweather, and Trout. He fades. But unlike Cotto, I haven't seen Canelo get his ass whupped, completely diminished like Cotto, on the run. Those who say his stamina will be a problem are severely underestimating it at your own detriment. The two details I keep hearing about why Floyd will win is: 1) Jab to the body. 2) Lack of stamina. Canelo is going to take away Floyd's jab to the body, and he's not going to get tired. So then what?
While Canelo may be green, at some point he's got to enter his prime, right? I say this is the fight he does it. I got Canelo. I think there is a possibility Floyd injures his hand though...but then again, Floyd might just use that as an excuse.
I think this a great matchup. Canelo is a terrific fighter, with a distinct advantages size, strength, and youth. Mayweather has distinct advantages in terms of speed, experience, and talent. I can't wait to see how it unfolds.
Should be a great night of boxing. This won't be another Guerrero affair. Last time I got the feeling Mayweather was in with a decent opponent that would actually give him a decent fight, but lose, was Cotto. Turns out Cotto made a good scrap out of it. This time, I think Canelo actually beats Mayweather. If anything, we'll see Mayweather take more punishment than in any fight.
Canelo is able to recover from being out of breath, but it doesn't take much for it to happen. Cotto doesn't get exhausted like Canelo does, but he gradually fades as the fight goes on and never recovers
margacheato had loade wraps,so that 1st cotto fight doesnt count. and canelo has way lest stamina then cotto. i would pick cotto to beat canelo.
Cotto never had stamina, once he couldn't knock you out he would start circling away. Plus Cotto has a worse defense then Canelo. Alvarez gets tired but he keeps moving his head.
