I observed Miguel Cotto's decision to change his image after the Margarito loss by covering himself in tatoos as an attempt to reinvent himself, for himself. I think it is a definite sign of the turmoil in his mind and the mental effect of losing his first fight. I'm no psychologist, but that is my opinion, all the tats are completely different styles etc. it all just seemed such a hasty move for a mature man. What do you guys think?

I think it's a pretty decent observation that I never really considered. Although, I don't know how much credence I would give it....

I'm the resident Cotto-hater here, but even I don't buy it, though. I think Cotto is of pretty sound mind, although I think the loss affected him in the beginning. He should bounce back pretty well, although I do think he would lose a rematch to Margarito.

And far as his next fight, I think he will be in for a tougher one than any of you guys may realize. We'll see. If he loses it won't be because of some Post-traumatic-ass-whippin-syndrome.

just what i thought and he was more playful too (his uncle picking him up when he dropped jennings was something Tito would do) didn't have the serious look. we could be making to much of it, but there was a defferent dameanor, at least he didn't tattoo his face i just margarito wasn't plasted up

Cotto is one of my favorite fighters. While I don't like the tattoos, Cotto is a grown man. Enough said

I think you along with the majority of people on this site think too much and over analyze everything. He wanted a few tattoo's.....big ****in' shits.

i dont really agree. he looks fine after the loss. he said he had got 1 tattoo and liked it so he kept getting them. i dont think it has anything to do with his "mental state". especially now that its been revealed that margarito MIGHT (i think he did) have used the plasterd wraps. he's going to be alright. he should pull out a tough win over clottey and i think he can beat margarito in a rematch. cotto lost that fight because of his pride. he refused to clinch. i think in a rematch he would come out with a different strategy where as i think margarito would come out with the same strategy.

Maybe he had been saving up since he was a little Rican to buy all the tattoos and he could only just afford them :hi:

Listen ****** Newbie.... If you go back to the Cotto Margarito weigh in pictures you will see that Cotto had just gotten a Tattoo on each wrist and his Tribal on his thigh. So he was already getting into Tattoos before he lost his fight *******.

Its common knowledge that Tattoos can be addictive and people usually don't stop at one so you are looking at the Tatt thing all wrong you newbie bitchboy.
