I understand what you're saying, but since he looked half decent (at least somewhat close to his 126-130 peak) at 147 and 150 there was probably more for him to go. I doubt he could have lasted very long against David Haye, but that is quite a big jump. 168 is the highest I could see him going.

Yeah, Pacman vs Groves, Smith and even Martin Murry would end well. Christ, even shot to hell AA would brutally knock out Pacman.

Like I said, you didn't read what I wrote correctly. I said:

"Pac was too small. He never fought at 154 and never fought a legit match above 147. BJS would likely have stopped him early and more brutally than JMM4."

...so, how good a SMW do you see him beating? A
Run of the mill belt holders? Elites? ATG's?

We talking Charles Brewer, James DeGale, or Mikkel Kessler here?

So you can see Pacquiao having had fights with guys like Calzaghe and Ward?

If Pac and his people really believed they had a shot at 160, he would have challenged Sergio at 154, and Sergio would have been doing a happy dance.

Sometimes OP seems like a decent poster, then he posts **** like this and his credibility takes a hit.

1 step forward, 2 steps back.

Pacquiao vs. Calzaghe is basically two mirror images, so yeah, I'd call it 50-50.

    I mean, they're both...um...fast with their hands.

    And uh...both professional boxers.

    Both male.

Both...not black, Arabic or Pacific Islander.

Both have ten fingers and toes.

Yeah...they're basically the same. I can't think of any reason this wouldn't be seen as competitive.

There are no elite's let alone any ATG's currently fighting at 168 pounds. It's going through a down period at the moment. Mikkel Kessler if given 6-9 months to train right now could have a chance of actually being the man even at this point. That's the current state of the division right now.

I do think Pacman could move to 160lbs and beat Chavaz Jr to be fair.

I'm trying to imagine prime RJJ vs 140lb Pacman in my head and can't stop smiling.

That's what I'm talking about. What is a prime Pac fought the same Chavez that fought Martinez? Pacquiao could actually win.

Yes I think Sergio would have stopped Pacquiao, but Martinez was an elite fighter and a lot bigger. BJS or Chavez Jr. Pac can take that.
