Could 180-199 pound fighters hang with the modern day giants?

    Imagine what Sanders would of done to Jones with his left hand ? after seeing what Tarver did ? i'm a fan of Jones but my goodness it wouldn't of been a pretty sight.

    Yeah. I think RJJ could probably handle more HWs than we think with his speed and elusive style but Sanders wasn't one of them. Apart from having some major power he threw punches in bunches and wasn't scared of getting countered which is also ugly for Jones who would have been giving up a lot of size too. Really, props to Roy for even considering that fight.

    Looking at the top 10 Heavyweights at that time i would give Jones a chance against...... Byrd, Rahman, Toney, Barrett, Oquendo, not sure if you agree. Was Jones vs Toney at Heavyweight ever discussed ? that would've been a pretty big rematch.

    I think Rahman would have been too powerful for him. It'd have been sweet to have seen Jones / Byrd. That would have been a great scrap. Good call.
