    2008 was THE YEAR for boxing. That was an insane year. 2009 was decent too.

    If those fights you mentioned take place then yes.
    However im very skeptical they all would.

    I have a feeling we wont see Gamboa-Lopez this year....

    I dont think gamboa/lopez, haye/klit, or pac/mayweather will happen this year.... just IMO. But ill be crazy happy if they do!! lol... even one of them.

    still a good year though if its broken down.... lots of good fights.

    2007 was a hell of year for boxing Mayweather vs De La Hoya, Mayweather vs Hatton, Taylor vs Pavlik, Calzaghe vs Kessler, etc.

    There will be more of "THE YEAR" years as long we have elite fighter fighting each other regularly.

    Mosley vs Cotto, Vasquez vs Marquez I and II, Barrera vs Marquez etc great great year.

    LoL 2010 is a already a ****ing horrible year, and there isn't any exciting match ups down the line that are exciting except for Chambers/Klitschoo.

    Lets put it this way, there will NEVER be a year of boxing if fights continue to be delayed or canceled. A LOT of fights are not happening and that's killing boxing.

    Every year is the year for boxing, you just have to pay attention...But the year does seem set for a welter eruption, if everything pans out the way we hope!
