If those fights you mentioned take place then yes. However im very skeptical they all would. I have a feeling we wont see Gamboa-Lopez this year....
I dont think gamboa/lopez, haye/klit, or pac/mayweather will happen this year.... just IMO. But ill be crazy happy if they do!! lol... even one of them. still a good year though if its broken down.... lots of good fights.
2007 was a hell of year for boxing Mayweather vs De La Hoya, Mayweather vs Hatton, Taylor vs Pavlik, Calzaghe vs Kessler, etc.
LoL 2010 is a already a ****ing horrible year, and there isn't any exciting match ups down the line that are exciting except for Chambers/Klitschoo.
Lets put it this way, there will NEVER be a year of boxing if fights continue to be delayed or canceled. A LOT of fights are not happening and that's killing boxing.
im happy at this stage 3-6: Andre Dirrell vs. Arthur Abraham (Super 6, super middleweight) 3-6: Devon Alexander vs. Juan Urango (WBC/IBF light welterweight title) 3-6: Cory Spinks vs. Cornelius Bundrage (IBF light middleweight title) 3-13: Manny Pacquiao vs. Joshua Clottey (WBO welterweight title) 3-20: Wladimir Klitschko vs. Eddie Chambers (IBF/WBO heavyweight title) 3-27: David Tua vs. Friday Ahunaya (heavyweight) 4-3: David Haye vs. John Ruiz (WBA heavyweight title) 4-17: Mikkel Kessler vs. Carl Froch (Super 6, WBC super middleweight title) 4-17: Andre Ward vs. Allan Green (Super 6, WBA super middleweight title) 4-17: Bernard Hopkins vs. Roy Jones Jr. (light heavyweight) 5-1: Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Shane Mosley (WBA welterweight title) 5-1: Juan Manuel Marquez vs. Amir Khan (WBA light welterweight title)
Every year is the year for boxing, you just have to pay attention...But the year does seem set for a welter eruption, if everything pans out the way we hope!
