Could 50-year old Hopkins survive Marciano?

I love Hopkins but I honestly think he'd be wrecked here.
Not a high enough work rate and offense wise he has simply nothing to discourage Marciano with. His main weapon would be his ring craft and guile, but against the relentless and non stop attacks he would be facing I don't think it would be enough, I think Marciano's body attack would take it's toll and Hopkins would have to be rescued sometime around 7 or 8 rounds.

Kovalev has more skill in one finger than Marciano ever possessed in his life. I see Hopkins moving around and easily frustrating the useless Marciano, he could even nick the decision. As for getting stopped, nah, far too cagey for someone as crude as Rocky.

I think Kovalev is just as dangerous at 175 as Marciano was at 185. He punches like a heavyweight only he has greater speed, better boxing skills and more height and reach. If Bernard gave Marciano the same sort of non-effort that he fronted against Kovalev where all he does is go in there to survive and not actually "fight", then reaching the final bell isn't out of the question. The majority of Marciano's "top" opponents weren't indigenous to the heavyweight division anyway, and a good number of them gave him problems while being well past their prime.

Archie Moore had more skill than Kovalev... and hit even harder.

Things didn't work out too good for Archie.

Yeah, and Hopkins is to Moore what apples are to oranges. Both are merely fruits. Both Hopkins and Moore are / were professional boxers. The comparison stops at that. Unless of course you have got film of Archie fighting with mainly survival in mind, and trying to steal a decision.

Marciano would have overwhelmed Hopkins before the fight was two thirds over. Too hard hitting and relentless.

About the same chance he'd have surviving Tyson.

a 25-30 year old BHop isn't surviving Marciano; though you do raise an interesting set of scenarios.

the 6'1" BHop fighting in the 40s & 50s would, just like the rest of his then peers of the same size & stature, would have been fighting at Light-heavyweight, and finishing at HW...

my guess is he wouldn't have been a TOP L-HW or Champion never mind making an impact at HW towards the middle/end of his career.

To put it mildly, it couldn't have been a good thing for Hopkins to be in there with Marciano....he would have been hurt bad.
