Could a clamp down on Steroid use be at least partly the reason for untoned heavies?

Roids help but sure as hell don't need them to build sufficient muscle to be a HW.

Anyway, it isn't about a lack of muscle, it is about a high bodyfat % that half these lazy HWs have.

If you look at the HW's in MMA, Rage etc (what ever they call it).. guys; there are all in perfect toned shape. Yet the HW boxing division is far more lucrative, if these guys could make it there, they would. Perhaps too much is made about having an Adonis like body, and actually achieving in the sport.

You don't have to be carved out of stone, but some semblance of shape is important. Not only for personal performance, but out of respect to the sport, fighting in the marquee division.

These guys aren't even trying. If you've got rolls of fat - that ain't **** to do with not having steroids. You are just eating more Bic Macs than you are burning off, simple as that.

So why doesn't some super fit guy come and mop up the division(the monies still there).

It's just a wild thought, but MMA etc (don't know the name of it), are far less strict on testing. They all look like the guys in boxing did 10 or 20 years ago over there.

OK, Toney for eg. may lack discipline, he's 40 anyway(on his last legs); but I fail to believe that a lot of the Eastern European HW guys don't work hard. Their bodies are just not built to look god like.
