Could a comparison be made between Ricky Hatton and Riddick Bowe?

    IMO - yes.

    Both were very talented amateurs.

    Both went on long unbeaten runs during their career.

    Both defeated a truly great fighter to conquer their division.

    Both lost their undefeated records in agonising fashion.

    Both had disciplinary issues.

    Both avoided their #1 contender - Hatton-Witter.... Bowe-Lewis.

    Both imploded at the end of their career.

    Thoughts?

    maybe but Bowe was 10x as talented but good comparison

    For me the only major difference between the 2 is that one was an overachiever and one was an underachiever.

    You forgot to mention both had a tragic addiction to pies in the off season! didnt Bowe come in weighing like 23 stones before training started for the second Holyfield fight?
