Fight generate enough interest to be fought at a neutral venue outside the us and uk? I dont think either of them are big enough names to pull it off and it is quite sad because its one of the biggest fights out there and it could have been an option.
I don't think so, they just don't have the name value yet of a Tyson/Jones/Klitchko. I think Floyd should man up and go to England and fight in Wembley stadium and do something truly historic instead of just talking about doing "historic" things in boxing.
No and it is a shame. I think somehow getting it to somewhere historic - Manilla maybe - would give it just the gimmick it would need to sell out. But only that kinda place.
No one knows until the fight were to happen. It just funny to me that some still seem to think that its Floyd that needs to go fight hatton. And that isnt the case. Big crowds dont mean ****, if they dont pay big money to get in. I think that is what confuses alot of our European brothers here. 20,000 people is nothing if they pay 10 to get in, while on the other hand 8,000 is a ton if they are paying 2,500 to get in. That is the different between fighting in Europe and fighting in the States...
That is one that I have always wondered when I hear of 30-40 + thousand fans at an event: What did they pay to get in? I know the cheap seats for some smaller events in the States are usually around $100 dollars or so, with good seats being much higher.:deal
I actually think that the mayweather hatton fight should be in the US purely for money not atmosphere but that wasn't really my point anyway. i was just wondering if there was a fight out there that could generate major interest in another country i.e the one i mentioned.
