Could a prime Chris Eubank Sr keep up with the pace GGG set against Canelo?

I was re-watching Watson vs Eubank the rematch and noticed how Eubank didn`t counter enough because of fatigue, this is what people accussed Canelo of vs GGG, so surely Eubank would have gassed vs GGG if they fought in the same era! I`m posting this question because someone posted a question asking how GGG would have done vs the top Brit super middles of the 90`s!

He might not have to as much. He had the speed and some power. I tell you one thing, GGG would not have it easy against Chris or Nigel for that matter.

Benn gassed against Eubank and Watson and Eubank never faced a hard body puncher like GGG that would make him gas even more.

Eubank was known to drop pace and appear lazy, but he was canny enough to defend himself well enough to survive. Often I swear he was playing possum. plus granite chin of course. Hence I am not sure you'd catch him out with pace/volume enough for a ko.

based on what actually happened in his fights, that is, not imagination or "what I want"

Nigel Benn, you cannot be serious. The guy destroyed elite level with his power.

At middleweight he was a devastating puncher but he didn`t throw as many body punches as GGG does, and he`s not as accurate when throwing to the body, the only fight where he tried a number of counter uppercuts to the body was his rematch with Eubank but he wasn`t punching hard at all in that fight. McCallum would have destroyed Eubank`s body also.

But when he got tired he got caught, he`d be out pointed by GGG his punching is so much sharper.

I mean, you know, he did what 3G couldnt do, KOed elites, and genuine MW ones. I dont get how you are reversing the truth.

3G gets caught too, its part of his game plan to take some. Impasse.

Golovkin would beat him, of that I am sure. The amount of difficulty involved is another matter.

Just watched the fight for my next article, Eubank hated his body punching. But Nigel Benn is every bit the puncher GGG is.

GGG`s guard is much better than Eubank`s was, his gloves are held closer to his chin and against Canelo his elbows were tucked in so Canelo only landed two body shots the whole fight! Saul would have landed way more vs Eubank. GGG`s constant jab works as a defensive weapon also, he`s always threatening to throw it keeping you on the defensive and he threatens to counter every shot, Eubank didn`t counter as much as GGG does, often he moved too far away from his opponent when evading a shot so the distance between him and his opponent was so much he couldn`t land a counter, he did throw a lot of counters vs Watson in their second fight, but too many of them missed GGG is a much more accurate puncher.
