OK, but Buster Douglas was a 6'4 guy with a punishing long jab. Against Toney, Tyson would face the only opponent of his career shorter than himself (as far as I remember). Toney's defensive movement might be negated by Tyson's overhand punches and hooks. That shell of Holyfield Toney beat would have been KO'd by a prime Tyson easily. The Holyfield who beat Tyson could trade with him an actually bully him in the ring.

I agree many live in a fantasy world about Tyson, but about Toney as well. He never faced a HW with a punch like Tyson, Peter certainly isn't in that category. He lost to Drake Tadzi and was lucky against Tiberi, fighters that would last about 45 seconds with Tyson.

Except Green, Tillis, Bonecrusher and Tucker.

That he didn't do it doesn't mean that he couldn't have. It means he didn't catch them with a well placed punch at the right place.

James 'Bonecrusher' Smith = the bonecrusher held on for dear life for 12 rounds, lost a wide UD, good job he was a huge ******* and he did hold on or mike would have buried him in the ring. barely won a damn round.

Tony Tucker = at his prime when he fought tyson, at 35-0 - a very well matched fight for such a young champion to have so early.
tyson was still very young despite being a force of nature at the age of 20, lost a wide UD, and tucker also held on for large portions of the fight..... (lets not forget that tucker fought the likes of lennox lewis YEARS later and still wasnt stopped. the only time he was stopped was when he fought on into the late 90's and was an old man, against people who he would have most likely destroyed at his peak....herbie hide/john ruiz)

Mitch Green/James Tillis - Tyson did not lose a round against Green, and had a good fight with the far more experienced, slick Tillis in just his 15th fight at heavyweight as guy who was 19 years old....Tillis on the other hand, had over 40 fights to his name, despite being in his 20's and had fought future tyson victims carl williams, marvis frazier, tyrrel biggs, pinklon thomas, and had been very competitive in all of those fights. Tillis was floored and lost a wide UD to a young tyson.

people also conveniently forget, that mike DESTROYED larry holmes in 1988, im not saying holmes was by any means at his peak, but this was YEARS before holmes came back and took evander holyfield the distance despite being an old man.

tim witherspoon was finished by the time tyson was ruling the heavyweight division, and holyfield? holyfield wasnt even a heavyweight when mike was at the peak of his powers, a good job for him he wasnt as well.

your biased misrepresentation of tysons fights/wins are stupid. :patsch

    you illogical *****

    he said tysons PEAK

so do you consider a freaking 19/20 year old tyson, who fought the names that you mentioned when he had barely chalked up 16 wins, to be at his peak?

or the tyson that got to about 35-0 at 22years of age and was knocking out biggs, holmes, spinks, etc

dont even attempt to argue back you dickhead

otherwise i could use your kind of analogy to say wladmir bitchko was knocked the **** out in his youth/peak by the likes of brewster, purity and sanders, but then all the klitschko cocksuckers will be like 'oh nooo, thats before wlad dropped his balls and became a man to become the GOAT'. similar case with lewis being KTFO by Mccall.

    :hi:

Yes Tyson had enough power to knock Toney out. Toney is not undestructible.

This is the dumbest ****in question in history.

This would be a replay of Tyson-Tubbs.

Toney would be GONE, and anyone who thinks otherwise should not be posting.

Tyson peaked from 86-88. After his split with Rooney everything went downhill. Some guys peak early, some late.
A slick, defensive guy like Toney COULD definitely last the distance, he'd lose on points though.
    Dip****.
