Maybe a couple of times but not over the whole fight. He would need to find a different way to win.

If we're talking Prime Ali, certainly, probably even post-exile Ali could do it for stretches. Wlad's offense is as predictable as it gets, he's a pure headhunter that mostly throws straight shots. He can potentially throw other punches, but he rarely does, and he never goes to the body because he's in constant fear of getting tagged. Easy work for Ali to evade shots when he knows that they'll be coming straight at his head, even if they are reasonably fast.

Ali would land but he'd also take tons of shots himself.

In all honesty if Ali could eat up those shots from foreman, I doubt Wlad has anything that will knockout a prime ali

could ali get away with what exactly? making his opponent miss and landing lightning counters? demonstrating movement and agility that you rarely see from middleweights these days? yeah, i reckon he could 'get away' with that.

vlad's a good champion but let's be serious, ali would have boxed his head off. i get the feeling a lot of people have only seen the relatively slow, flat-footed ali who came out of prison, not the dazzling showman of his peak. that ali - a fighter who always fought well against tall opponents - would have bamboozled any heavyweight around today.

Wlad doesn't have a lazy, wet-noodle jab so I doubt Ali would be looping counter-rights over it.
Klitschko is not a part-time fighter from the 70's, Ali would likely get KO'd by the current Champion. His only hope for survival would be to run and pot shot.

That's exactly why Wlad's been ducking Vitali all these years.

If he landed the right hand that put down Thompson last night... Would he get a chance to land it is the question. I don't know and nobody ever will. Ali is the GOAT and Wlad a humble ATG.

no. wlad uses his height and arms a lot better.

Prime Ali would be able to sting him with some shots, but not like this.

    Ps who's he fighting against?
