This! Yes Prime Ali could pull-counter Wlad. Yes Prime Ali could slip Wlads jab. Easy to answer because Prime Ali could pull-counter and slip any heavy-weight's jab in history. If your question is slipping every jab in every round, the answer is no for Wlad and every other fighter in history. Prime Ali would dance the entire fight control the distance and pace of the fight, move in get some work in, then back up before taking too much damage. He would hurt Wlad with a few flurries at some point, then move in for the kill. Prime Ali would STOP Wlad before round 8.
atsch This idiot doesn't even know the difference between the two brothers, yet somehow feels he has the authority to lecture others on their lack of boxing knowledge.
Easily the best post in the thread thus far, although, and no offence intended to you, there hasn't exactly been much competition. When people equate Bugner with Wlad, confuse and collate the two brothers and seriously put forward Shavers and Lyle as better opponents than Lennox then you know you're not exactly arguing with the smartest bunch on the block.
The only time david hayes dumb ass let his hands go. If u think ali is scared lik haye was in that fight u smokin that good ****.
i think you're confusing the two brothers  people talking about ali beating bums. what is wlad's best win? haye? thompson? beating up a string of second-rate fighters (or getting ktfo by them) does not mean that you can do the same thing against the greatest heavyweight of the greatest era of heavyweight boxing of all time. what's next, chavez jr beating sugar ray? as i said earlier, a legitimate question is whether wlad would have earned a shot in the era of foreman, frazier, norton et al, an era (just) before multiple belts and ten-a-penny 'world champions'.
no Properly as in you are completely butt hurt. A lot of people criticize this era as a way of demeaning Wlads reign as he has been so dominant post Steward. :| If he was a slick American "G" this would be the greatest era ever according to some of you lot. This obviously isn't the greatest era ever but given Wlads physical gifts he would be at least competitive in any era. To say otherwise is either nostalgic or just plain hate:verysad
Are you crazy? Foreman landed a ton of shots on Ali's ribs and hips from round 1-8. Maybe you should re watch the fight.
I confused the two brothers earlier in my post, but its convenient to focus on that and ignore the fact that Wlad doesn't have any serious boxing opponents on his list, the fact that Vitali fought Lennox and Wlad didn't just downrates Wlad on the boxing-scale of tape...so Wlad really and truly has never fought anyone worthwhile. And this goes into the OP. Yes, he could have.
The problem I have is that people generally were saying Haye was going to brutally KO him... When He doesnt Hayes ****. Same goes for any opponent that he beats, except for his last two opponents who were pretty shoddy.
