Could Amir ever fight at 154?

he's too small at the minute you've got to remember there will be people at 154 coming into the ring on fight night close to 170lbs

 

By the time he moves up who knows who will even still be around in that division, he's not even moved to WW yet. Welter has always been more of a money maker than LMW through the history books anyway

 

He has the frame to easily go up to 154, could even go higher.

What he doesnt have is the punch resistance for those weights, so he would have to be handled with care

 

Hmm I suppose he could have the frame for it, lets just see how he performs at WW first, were still in the early stages of his career

 

Hatman has already schooled Amir in embarrassing fashion, too slick and black

I think we will see him as an effective boxer (champion or top 10 ranked) as high as 160. He has the frame and keep in mind that he's only 25. As he gets older the weight is going to get harder and harder to lose.

 

Peterson might get the decision if fighting in America, depends on where they fight. If in the UK, Khan wins a decision if it goes the distance.

Now that Peterson is the champion and if the rematch will be in Las Vegas, Khan has to look good and impress the judges or knock Peterson out.

 

Not too sure he could manage 147lbs let alone 154lbs, the Peterson fight has left a lot of questions open to debate...

Has he the strength not to be bullied???
Has he the skill to avoid the bigger guys???
Has he the disipline to follow a gameplan for more than 3 rounds???

My feelings are he fails all 3 of the above.

 

YES. But what will he lose... Almost all of his advantages & that chin will defo get cracked above 140lbs.
