I'd say his performances have been rather questionable, some very impressive beatings handed out to Franklin, Nate and Forrest while not doing much vs Leities, Cote, Maia and looking in a fair bit of trouble vs Lutter and Sonnen.

The real reason Anderson has picked up the P4P tag is that the UFC started to promote him under that label when they ran a Spike show to counter the first Affliction card featuring Fedor.

Right now I think GSP should clearly be in the #1 spot.

Moreorless and moronocountry are trolls on this forum. Everyone would be well advised to add them to your ignore list so we can get back to discussing mixed martial arts instead of their agendas.

I can't speak for individual opinion but I think its pretty clear that alot of Andersons hype as the P4P #1(and indeed the importance of that position) dates back to the Irvine fight.

Well if part of the justifcation for ranking Anderson as the #1 P4P spot is that somewhere like Sherdog have him there then obviously the potential influence of a promoter is going to damage that.

Monaro is pretty obviously a much less amusing and sucessful version of Bloodstaine who'd believe James Thompson had a shot at the WGP if he signed with M1 and imported a few K1 DVD's but that doesnt mean taking up the opposing viewpoint is correct.

it was the dan henderson fight for me.

he destroyed henderson standing, then was taken down and laid on for the remainder of the round. henderson never made it to the third round.:bbb

I was greatly impressed, mostly because I believed henderson would be a hard fight for anderson, henderson never being ko'd and only submitted twice at by the nog bros.

outside the ufc anderson could have beaten dan henderson as well... he just would not have gotten praise from dana white for doing it.:deal
