Could Andre Ward sell out an 80,000 seater stadium like George Groves did?

It doesn't matter how good Groves is. We are talking about who's the draw here. Look at Chavez Jr, is he really that good? No but he's a PPV attraction.

But I will give Groves this:

1. he's never failed a PED test (like Roy Jones and James Toney)

and

2. he's never refused one (like Andre Ward and Bernard Hopkins)

:good Calzaghe never lost his Super Middleweight and Light Heavyweight titles in the Ring, thus if you want to rate Ward, you must rate 'Zaggers above him.

 

They wouldn't bring 80,000 fans. Bare in mind both Froch and Groves had followings. Chavez has a following put not enough to fill an arena on his own. GGG and Kovalev have growing reputations but still wouldn't fill a stadium that size- they aren't even consider PPV attractions yet.

 

:yep Think is, if Ward pulled his head from his butt he'd be so easy to promote. Eddie Hearn was talking about it saying there is so much that could be done for Ward's profile

 

Here a fact, Groves will still be living rich in 5 years living comfortably, not living with the pain of being a PED cheat, still with all his faculties in tact.

Jones and Toney will still be boxing and getting beat by unknown Eastern Europeans without a pot to **** in with slurred speech and erection trouble.

Suppose being competitive in two fights with a man in many pound for pound lists in Froch is better than a PED cheat who gets knocked out by journeymen Danny Green and Glen Johnson.

If you are a PED cheat you should be exempt from the Hall of Fame for a start because your career has a huge asterix next to it, and only people who condone drug testing and think beating up cab drivers and postmen will juicing recognise Jones as an ATG :hi:
