Could Andre Ward sell out an 80,000 seater stadium like George Groves did?

It's Ward in my opinion who needs to do something for that fight to sell big. Froch is the A-side by a mile.

team groves has to stop the bleeding, once the bleeding had been stopped then you guys can talk about selling out soccer stadiums

If that fight was signed I doubt it would even be considered for Wembley (not that Ward would travel anyway) Hearn has mentioned as much, so they'd have to do it in the USA and 80,000 UK fans aren't all gonna travel, and I doubt 80,000 Americans even know who Ward and Froch are, let alone want to see them fight.

no chance !! and you have to remember it was the controversy of the first fight and the hatred between groves and froch that made the wembley showdown so massive , on top of that the card was pretty stacked as well . in UK we build up our domestic scene really well and loyal boxing fans will come out in there thousands to support there man at whichever end of the country it is . i dont mean to sound anti US but you just dont have those kind of fans in your country , even when you have a huge vegas fight the arena's are half empty up until the main event and then it only holds up to about 15-20 thousand anyway . there is absolutely no chance of ward filling a stadium of that magnitude ... NEVER !!

in june eddie hearn will be doing it all again with a stacked card and a huge main event and you can guarantee the 80,000 tickets will be gone in no time , al haymon and such like could learn a lot from what we do over here but it seems the idea over in US is making money from lots of ****py little one fight events with terrible undercards and C list fights spread all over the place instead of looking at the bigger picture and giving fans boxing spectaculars at massive venues with big fights . i watch all the mayweather PPVs here in UK and all the fights leading up to the main event and i just find it sad that the undercard fighters are lucky if they have 2000 fans watching them , you just do not have a loyal enough fan base in US to do nights like we do in UK , sorry but its true .

Froch couldn't sell 10000 seats in the states by himself so go figure.

Maybe and that's a big maybe for the UK if I was marketed as Froch's retirement match, not a chance in the US

Everybody knows it's Chavez selling seats. It's the only reason Froch is fighting him and not Ward. Froch knows he aint selling sh*t over in America. And Chavez's background and loyal Mexican fan base will sell through the roof anywhere on the planet.

I 100% guarantee you Froch would have more of his own fans in Vegas than Ward would if he was fighting Chavez. Deal with it.

True. Andre ward hasn't even fought in 14 months. Most Americans have already forgotten who he is.

Edit: I just realized he has only fought TWO TIMES in 3years and 2 weeks... Also with nothing scheduled that will probably extend to about 3.5 years...

No, I don't think Ward could sell out even a quarter of that.
Ward needs to be more active, he doesn't have that fan friendly style - where he can just sit on the self like Chavez jr, and still sell.
Nevertheless, there isn't a boxer alive atm that beats Andre Ward, there probably isn't even a boxer that gets close to beating him. That is the real shame about his situation, real boxing fans are being robbed of watching Ward.
Everyone likes to talk up Golovkin - and rightfully so - but they should take note when Golovkin himself comes out and says Ward is too much for him.

Andre Ward couldn't sell out York Hall yet alone an 80k seater stadium.
