A number of unlikely things would had to have happened.

Regarding Groves-Froch, if Eddie would have held the first fight at Wembley (not that he ever would have done) he'd have been lucky if he'd have sold out a 3rd of the stadium. The first fight was held in Manchester because Groves was nothing more than a prospect at the time.

I agree, they are/were two very good fighters and big ticket sellers. (to a degree) But England is crammed full of casual fans who'll jump on the bandwagon. I've got mates who are casuals who bought the PPV for the rematch, writing "history in the making" on Facebook etc.

All Ward has to do, is keep active and get back in the spotlight.

If it happened late 2016/early 2017, it would easily sell out a huge stadium. But we know that things are very different in the U.S.

It's crazy that Eddie has to hire out Wembley Stadium, whereas the Vegas casinos actually pay the U.S. promoters so they can host their fights.

Under different circumstances, all of the huge U.S. fights would be held in huge NFL stadiums etc. But it's unnecessary.
