Could Andre Ward sell out an 80,000 seater stadium like George Groves did?

There's a lot of people who can't/won't go to Vegas and spend thousands of dollars on accommodation, transport and tickets.

Most people are happy to purchase the fight on PPV.

I would say that a number of potential fights could sell out an NFL stadium.

What are the capacities? Anything from 40,000-100,000

Canelo fought Trout in front of around 40,000 in Texas. And so did Manny when he fought Clottey and Margarito.

I'm certain that if Floyd fought Manny again in an NFL stadium, they'd definitely sell it out. But it would never happen.

I definitely think that Ward-Kovalev could also sell out one.

800 at a push I'd say if 90% are comps

    Barcham,

I think Canelo-Cotto could sell out an NFL stadium.

It'd be a different proposition to a Vegas fight.

You mean the George Groves who fought Carl Froch In an all Uk showdown, or the George Groves who got thoroughly outclassed by Badou Jack?

Can any brit sell out 132k seats in azteca stadium like the Great Mexican Fighter Julio Cesar Chavez?

Boxing without cash doesn't exist so it's not a detail. If we talk about boxing, well, Ward is ruining his prime. He had injuries, contractual problems AND is picky about his opponents. He didn't look good in his last fight and apart being American, there's no reason why he still should be in the pound4pound list.

it wasn't groves that sold it. it was the stupidity of cheeky cokneys which allowed them to get swindled out of their ticket money by one of their own kind.

the 80,000 thing wouldn't have happened in an area of England outside the m25
