You better believe every Super Middleweight here and abroad knows who Groves is. Irrelevant statement and you better believe more people have seen Groves fight on TV or live and in person than Ward.

I'm going to the pub in half an hour. I will speak to fans who watch boxing casually but aren't really followers of the sport. I will ask each of them if they know who Andre Ward is, and if they know who George Groves is.

I will let you know who wins but I suspected I already know the answer.

What a silly question. Of course Ward couldn't. But in fairness to him which fighters could? Not many.

Yes, but the only man to beat Groves- Carl The Cobra Froch is number 1. And with the likes of Abraham, Stieglitz, Chavez Jr and Strum rating highly in the division (being Groves holds a win over DeGale #3) then Groves is the clear number 2.

Everyone I asked (roughly 20) knew who George Groves was. Not one person had heard the name Andre Ward before- as expected- he's an unknown to casual followers of the sport.

Only a re**** would be required to 'guess' and not know- for example I know prime for prime Marvin Hagler destroys Eric Crumble, and I know for a fact Calzaghe beats Groves, Ward and Froch. :deal

You must've missed him selling out Wembley Stadium to 80,000 fans on May 31st 2014 with Carl Froch.

Back to school for you love.

Not to insult Americans, but I think British boxers have more of a loyal fanbase than American boxers do, for example, we support boxers even during their bad times, such as Frank Bruno, Ricky Hatton, Henry Cooper, the list can go on, whilst I think with Americans, they like winners only really, especially if it's a knockout winner. Put it this way, if Floyd was British he would have a lot more Loyal fanbase than he currently has in America. Ward won't do 80,000, because he's an American and he doesn't have that fanbase in America like a Tyson had.

first of all groves didnt sell out nothing if it wasnt for froch so this title alone is a troll post. froch and ward would sell out no problem if they fought again at the wembly stadium.
