I know that Andre Ward and James Kirkland are in different weight classes but I would love to see these two fight at a catch weight. What are the chances of that?

Not any time soon, as that would be a terrible idea for Kirkland, in particular.

Kirkland is a good division. He's an exciting young fighter who will attract fans, and it's possible he could win a belt or two at 154 and make good money without actually having to face an elite opponent.

I think Kirkland vs. Julio is going to be a big fight down the road.

Why would Kirkland move up and fight Ward? That would be a ridiculous idea.

Kirkland vs. Julio is a good, much more realistic matchup/step up. Julio should probably be favored to win by stoppage.

Holy ****, I just looked at this.

Gamboa-Barrios? God damn.. if it turns out to be true, what a warrior. Barrios is one of the last B level fighters I would put any kind of prospect in with. Juarez would be a much better choice. Gamboa-Barrios would be a thrill to watch though.. Gamboa would most likely stop him, but almost any other matchup at 130 is a better risk/reward situation.

Wow. Thanks. Very risky fight for both guys. Kirkland is the more mentally tough fighter, while Julio has more complete skills.

Hopefully it still happens.. I was looking forward to that as much, if not more than Mosley-Judah. Who would you favor in that? I'd go with Barrios by close decision.
