Could Golovkin had beaten the fighters Hagler beat, he would have caught a beating against Hearns, he would have got schooled by Leonard, He would of probably been in a career ending war against Mugabi. The reason you think these athletes are more advanced is because they fight less fights, they fight easier schedules, so it looks like its the advancement in technology which means they are fresher but imo its not. I get your arguement it isnt a silly one however I dont agree with it, Hagler is an ATG for a reason, GGG isnt for a reason. Of course GGG had he beat Ward, Canelo, Jacobs and BJS I would put him up there as a modern day ATG. However look at his resume, his best win is Jacobs, he was supposed to stop Canelo according to the bookies and his fans and he couldnt do it.
