But look at Frank at the last few rounds. He was in desperate trouble, tired, lolling about on the ropes. McCall was just throwing everything really, he was desperate in fact. Now if that had been Tua in there in those desperate moments, I think Frank would be toast. I take the smith and Witherspoon fights to see what I think would happen.
If Bruno has a good night and Tua comes in a bit flat its certainly within his ability to pull off the win. Bruno's main objective is to use the jab and keep moving.
If Rahman could control the fight on the outside with a jab - then Bruno can also and tua is no Mike Tyson.
Yep agreed, Tua would feel some stiff jabs thumping on his guard and go into a bit of a shell, he might hurt Bruno here or there and could win some nights but I think most of the time anxious as he could be, tight as he could he’d initiate a good enough plan for Tua.
I have read several of your books and have another of your great books on order. I am NOT arguing with your opinion on a hypothetical match-up, sir! I will go with David Tua by 11th round stoppage over Frank Bruno.
Cannot see Frank walking the tightrope for 12 rounds. 36 minutes is a ton especially > he starts dropping those hands. Add the bad habit of freezing when tagged & that follow up shot will end matters.
Hey, no one really knows for sure. Just fun to discuss and make educated guesses. Think of all the modern fights that we think we know how it will turn out and then the unexpected happens. Very few folks can prove they know it all by going to Vegas and wagering hard earned money and making millions gambling on the fights.
That's the truth. Imagine Tyson never fighting Buster then people posting the fantasy fight on here. How many say Tyson KO 1 Douglas??
