Could Anyone Stand And Trade With a Peak Tyson from 1986-88

The problem with trading with Tyson is that he is as good at absorbing huge shots as just about anyone. So not only do you have to deal with the rapidfire combinations and his offense, but even if you do land your money shot, it's probably not going to matter. You can't turn the tide on him with one punch, it has to be a steady case of getting the better of him.

Foremans offense presents massive problems for Tyson but at the same time his defensive deficiencies may well come into play.

    Liston-Tyson is my dream fight.

To really beat Tyson you would need to absorb what he dishes out and at the same time you have to wear him out.

I reckon George could take what Tyson dished out and come back for more, but would he still be trading with Tyson around round 8-9? Yes im questioning his stamina.

Fraizer could possibly wear Tyson down late in the fight because Frazier gets better as the fight wears on....but could he outlast the early Tyson barrage....Tyson aint no Foreman in terms of strength, but if Tyson smells blood, its lights out.

I reckon he could duck a lot of those punches, FOreman wasnt exactly the fastest guy in the world. And Tysons defence is much better than Fraziers, as is his chin.

Look at the video i post, the way he smoothly ducks that double jab, ala sweet pea

That's a legit question to ask of the younger George. The Older George, while much much slower, tended to be a bit more savvy and conserved his energy pretty well. So that version of George could probably stay in front of Tyson for the whole fight...Although I don't see that version pulling off the victory.

1.Dempsey was the hardest puncher in heavyweight history(tyson is #2) and could trade with tyson.
    2.foreman could trade with tyson.
    3. frazier could def trade with him.
    4. marciano could trade with tyson

1: a prime dempsey broke bones, hardest hitter ever, most ferocious as well. tyson never faced anybody as tough as dempsey. could take tyson out. dempsey wins KO5.many on here will disagree I'm sure.
2: tyson-foreman 1990 era: foreman handled frazier, but tyson had 2 hands. this fight wouldn't go the distance. if tyson ever showed the ability to dig deep when pressured I'd pick him, but he didn't. foreman wins KO9.
    3. sorry Joe but tyson has 2 hands, more power, speed and movement. tyson wins KO6
    4. I'm a marciano fan but a peak tyson would be too much for him. tyson wins TKO8.

Tyson Vs Riddick Bowe OR Evander Holyfield in 1992 is what i always wished happened, Tyson coming off two respectable wins against razor ruddock, & still in relative prime.... But unfortuantely going to jail was the beginning of the end for mike....1992-1994 would have been the time where Tyson could have had some HUGE legacy-defining fights

Holyfield could do it. Mercer Could Do it. Oliver Mccall could do it. And I think the 96 foreman could do it!
