Could anyone who ever fought at 130-140 have stopped Chavez?

I was thinking the same. But Valero would be exposed within his momentous rounds and wouldn't be so apt to trade after feeling some power himself.

My guess is that he bites the dust in 5

We want to say that, but he jumped out of LW too fast. Indeed if he would have stayed longer and jumped into the 140 class would have been unbelievable.

When is this Valero guy going to fight and be seen. The same for Kameda. Youtube it okay, but I want to see them on HBO or Showtime someday.

You mentioned stamina issues. I could see a stoppage by what you mentioned about stamina and Chavez's great body punching that would have him look for a comfortable spot to fall. Attack the body and the head will fall.

I would really love to see him on some sort of ****in' broadcast of that sort.

HBO Showtime...**** even ESPN would do just fine...probably get the highest ratings with that showing.

I would want to see how Chavez holds up in the first 6 rounds with a monster puncher like Urango. Because from this statement it seems like your saying he would try and have a brawl with him...

Again...I think Chavez' body attack would come a bit late in the fight...like say around the 5 or 6 round and wouldn't be sustained long enough to bring him down.

I just want to see more of Urango before I agree or disagree of his talent. Something is telling me he will be having weight issues soon. 147 will welcome him with open arms.

    Fantastic!

Whats even more remarkable about Chavez' career is that for a fighter that loved to fight on the inside in the "eye of the storm" as Ferdie Pacheco loved to put it, its remarkable that Chavez was'nt dropped until he was at about his 90th or so fight against Frankie Randall.

He had a magnificent chin of course, but it really is a testament to Chavez great defense that he consistently fights at such a range where he can get hit, but does'nt get dropped until the latter part of his career.

The part of that youtube clip I enjoyed the most was the part when Chavez is doing a number ducking under numerous Frankie Mitchell shots!:yep

It is one of the best Highlights on youtube. It dispels he misconception that Chavez was just a brawler with no defensive maneuvers or variation in his offensive arsenal.

I've forever even in the classic section noted just how underrated Chavez' defense was......poster usually dont acknowleadge that I've posted as such and have for the most part simply chose to ignore it.

.....but I'm adamant about it, Chavez defense was more than just good......for a fighter that always fought at a distance where his opponent could reach you and as busy as his hands alway were, Chavez' defense must be classified as great.:deal

To the posters talking about Urango, Chavez would completely anhillate a wide puncher like that.....
Rosario threw short compact power shots and had a hard time finding him......
Urango would be like throwing raw meat to a Lion!

I may have gone just a bit too far there. Just a bit. I've just always been a huge fan.

Outside of Arguello, Pryor's only really notable win is an old Cervantes, and his first win over Arguello is very VERY questionable due to the little black bottle.

I think Pryor is one of the most overrated hype jobs in the history of the sport and JCC would have wiped up the ring with him, assuming there's no cocaine supply in Pryor's corner to keep him standing.

You're joking right? Urango is a decent fighter to go see on a weekend undercard, but compared to an ATG he's dog****. A tune-up. Of course JCC would brawl with him, and he would hit him with damn near every right hand he threw. You think URANGO can whack? Watch a JCC fight.
