Could anyone who ever fought at 130-140 have stopped Chavez?

I don't even know how to start on suggestions as abysmal as these. Ricky Hatton? Floyd Mayweather?? They couldn't stop Chavez if they both fought him at the same time. Pryor is the only one who stands a chance, and even then it's a very very slim one.

prime for prime doesn't matter ... a prime chavez wouldn't have been able to handle Tszyu, Hatton, Randall, Vince Phillips, Duran, DLH, Mosley, and Mayweather ... Mayweather had a bulk of his stoppages at 130-135 ...

No the Margarito fight just reinforced what I already thought about Mosleys style. Its perfectly suited for come forward fighters like Chavez and Margarito. If Mosley doesnt KO Chavez he takes the worst beating of his career. You are essentially talking about a smaller weaker fighter then Shane Mosley who Mosley doesnt have to find.

    KO.

OK, you've now stated your opinion, it is absolute manure, can you please leave the thread now? If you stay the conversation will be dominated by people laughing at you and it will stop anyone actually participating in sensible and interesting debate.

I genuinely don't believe you have ever seen Chavez fight at his peak.

He was so, so, so much more than a "come forward fighter like Margarito".

    Seriously terrible comment that.

Wow it took 2 pahes to get to Duran who would certainly KO Chavez, no 2 ways about it. Napoles would school and KO Chavez

Ortiz, Laguana, Delahoya, Mosley, Mayweather, Arguello, Pryor, Tyszu, Pacquaio, Williams, Armstrong all have decent shots of KO'ing him 140 or below

So you think a skinny teenage greener-than-grass Tito could knock out a prime Chavez?

This is becoming painful to read to be honest.

I agree JCC is taylor made for Shane. Who loves come forward Mexican fighters and unlike Taylor he doesn't get hurt as easy. He would beat the hell outta Chavez but I don't think he would stop him. Just win by UD something like 8-4 or 9-3.

Napoles would KO Chavez?? Why do think that? In what fights have you seen evidence that (a) Napoles had the arsenal to KO Chavez, and (b) Chavez had the vulnerabilites to be broken down at 140 by a fighter like Napoles?

    Mayweather?? Behave.

Torres if chavez just stands there

Erm Tzsyu in an actual fight may.. Plenty of people are capable of beating him, just can't think of a KO at this weight.
