Could anyone who ever fought at 130-140 have stopped Chavez?

Whilst others are just incoherent. Do you need to get personal?

 

Shane is better than every department than Meldrick Taylor is except speed and only by a hair and Taylor had Chavez beat.:deal He would beat Chavez to the punch hit him with combos at will. Not to mention he can take whatever Chavez dishes out and answer back with his own. In fairness to Chavez he can cut off a ring but that wouldn't really matter against Shane because he would look to trade anyway. Shane is right though his style matches up well with Mexican pressure fighters.

 

I don't even think a Shane on steroids could knockout a prime Chavez. We're talking at Lightweight with Shane, and the Taylor fight took place at 140lb.

 

Yes I do need to get personal when I have explained myself once and people still don't understand and come out with 'you've obviously never seen Chavez fight' etc.. Seriously its not like I said Torres would KO Chavez, I said he could if Chavez didn't move.

 

Why the hell would we assume Chavez would just stand in front of Chavez. That isn't what DINAMITA was asking.

 

I understand that Shane never fought at 140. He was a beast at 135 and that's where this fight would have taken place. He would eat up a fighter with JCC's style. His poison is a slick defensive counter-puncher or a tall lanky fighter with a good jab.

 

I actually think a fight between Mosley and Chavez would be extremely competitive at 135lb. However, Chavez does not get stopped because he had a special kind of punch resistance. He was shot to bits and even DLH and Tzyzu could not drop the man. Chavez was not a smaller version of Margarito, he utilized head movement, and had a lot more variety to his offense. He does not get stopped by Mosley, or any other fighter you mentioned.

 

I was simply reiterating the point that it is exceedingly difficult to find someone who could KO him.

I said Torres in a light hearted manner. Then suggested Tzsyu. **** me.

I never mentioned any other fighters nor did I say Mosley would stop him. I said Shane would beat the hell outta him and win by UD.

 

Ah yeah he had him beat. Taylor was up on all the cards with less than 10 seconds left before the fight was stopped. He would have won if Steele hadn't stopped the fight.:deal

 

I've seen Chavez fight at his peak. What that got to do with Mosley whipping his ass? You got a guy who comes forward, against a guy who style is suited for come forward fighters. Add in Mosley is physically stronger then Chavez, with punching power that he was easily able to carry to 154, I fail to see how Mosley stopping CHavez it out of the question.

Chavez was better at using angles coming in, was a much better inside fighter then Margarito, but against Shane that wouldnt have made a difference. Shane is bouncing him around the ring all night long.
